 Island Overhang Support
The template maker may make recommendations like installing metal supports if an unsupported overhang exceeds 10”. |  Storage Under Island Overhangs
If there is storage below an overhang, the template maker may recommend that the doors or drawers be lowered to provide at least 3/8” clearance between the top of the door and the bottom of the sub top. |  Island Waterfalls
Islands and cabinets with waterfall ends must be plumb and square. Waterfall ends don't actually touch the floor. There is a small gap (1/8"-3/16") at the bottom to allow for expansion, settling and shifting. |
Waterfall Edges
Ideally the vertical edge of the waterfall is the same width as the finished edge of the countertop. | Appliance Edges
The standard appliance edge is not laminated. It is used at the range, against a panel or refrigerator. If a different edge is desired, it must be specifically requested at template. | Splash Height
The template maker may suggest adjusting the desired splash height either higher or lower to accommodate outlets or to hide wall damage. |
